New Year's Day

After having a photo-failure for the entire year of 2009, I have resumed my photo taking adventures. And this year, I wasted no time. I resumed my tradition of going for a New Year's Day hike. Traditionally my hikes have been somewhere more mountainous. However, this year we had some snow on New Year's Eve and I knew there was not going to be a good parking situation. That and I was too lazy to drive very far.

Well, it looks like my laziness payed of with interest. While I hiked in a nature conservancy, amusement park, and a bird sanctuary all within two miles of each other, I could not have be treated to much more wildlife than I was today. Okay, I kind of wanted to see the flock of wild turkeys at the first place, but no such luck. None the less, I was treated to a wonderful day with nature.
